Find the App on your App Store. Hit Install.
Once downloaded, click on Open then expand the Menu by clicking on the three horizontal bars found at the top left hand side. Click on 'Login or Register'.
Choose which Pricing Plan that suits your situation - either 'Pay as you go', or a 'Package'. Note that Package Plans offer discounts and carry a validity of 18 months. Click 'Create Profile'.
Fill out the Form with your Name, Address, Email Address and Mobile Number.
Note - Ignore 'Fleet Number', unless you are part of a Company Fleet Management Program. Click 'Add Payment'.
Once you have entered your Credit Card details, click on 'Save'.
Log In to your created Account by entering your Email Address and Password.
Each Smart Charge Account is identified by the Email Address used. Therefore, only one Account per Email Address. Use different Email Addresses, if you need multiple Accounts.
Note that the 'Fleet Number' field is Optional. Please leave this field blank, if you have not been provided a Code for a Sub EMP (Fleet) Group. Populating this field with 'NA' (for example), will cause issues when the system doesn't recognise the Group.
If you have finished Account Set Up, then gone to Log In, and received a message to say 'Email not recognised'. Note, during Set Up, your mobile may have populated the email address field. When it does this, it adds a space to the end of the address. Correct this and you should be good to go.
Your first screen will show you the Map of where you currently are, and highlight any Charging Stations on the Smart Charge network nearby.
Click on and open the 'Menu'.
Your Menu may show a 'Wallet'. This is only if you have deposited credit into a Package. See #1.3 above. You can change your Plan via 'Prepaid Plans' in the Menu.
To locate the closest Charger to you, look for the Green flags on the Map. Click on the Flag.
Check the green Available icon for Connector Status. Also the Connector Type, kWh output and Cost of Charge. For Directions to the Charger, click on the Road Sign arrow beside the address - to go to Google Maps.
Click on the blue 'Directions' button to locate the exact position of the Charger from your current position.
Once at the Charger, plug in the Connector to your vehicle (and the Charger, if Socket - so a Charging Cable is required) and click on 'Click to Start' under that Connector Type on the App.
Once the Connector is plugged in, and you have opened this screen, then click on the 'Start' button to begin your charge. Once your charge is finished, then click on the 'Stop' button. Return the Connector to the Charger and you are good to go. Payment for the Charge will be deducted from the Credit Card or Payment Plan that you set up.
Once your Smart Charge Account is set up, then we can free issue you an RFID Card and/or Key Fob. You can then Start and Stop any of the Charging Stations on our network by simply waving the Card in front of the pick up point on the Charger.

1, Remove the Connector from the Holster and plug it in to your vehicle
2, Either, open the screen on your Smart Charge App, and press 'Start'. Or, touch the sensor (#2) area with your registered RFID card.
5, Then press the 'Start' (#5) button on the charger. Adjust the Max top-up amount (#3) accordingly.
3, Press 'Stop' on the App, or the blue 'Stop' (#4) button on the Charger Panel - before disconnecting.
Note - If the Charger looks lifeless, then check the Emergency Stop Button at the bottom. Twist the Red Button to re-engage.
1, If the LED Ring is Green, plug in your own Type 2 cable to the Charger Socket and your vehicle.
2, Either, open the screen on your Smart Charge App, and press 'Start'. Or, touch the Circle area with your registered RFID card. The LED Ring will turn Blue when charging.
3, Press 'Stop' on the App, or touch the Circle area on the Charger again with your RFID card.
